THE DESIGN With its scent that is both heavenly and illustrious, the “Luce di Colonia OLIBANVM” – a Cologne-themed scented candle – stands as an epitome of the city’s unique lightness and charisma. The candle also shares the vivid open-heartedness of the Colonians and their adoration of the Cologne Cathedral with the world. The trademark design of the candle is a delicate and true-to-detail ink drawing of the Cathedral, symbolically supported by a foundation of the four letters that make up the German name of Cologne – Köln. This image stands as a landmark for the inseparable unity of the Cathedral and the city of Cologne. OLIBANVM is Latin for the holy resin of frankinscence, brought along in ancient times by the Three Magi to honour the newborn king. And it is also the perfect name for a design that embraces both spirit and glamour. The elegantly fragranced composition with its warm and spicy aroma is based on essences of pure frankinsence, vetiver, cedar wood and exotic cinnamon peel. This ingredients make OLIBANVM a symbol of purification, adoration and prayer. The candle’s effect is spiritually purifying, but it can also brighten you up or even have an inebriating effect. The candle’s scent aligns the physical and the etheric worlds. What’s more, the cinammon peel also adds an aphrosidiac touch.
